Kate grew up on the Hawkesbury River in NSW, Australia which fostered her respect and awe of Australian landscapes. She worked as a radio journalist and story producer for ABC and CBC Radio for a decade before a fascination with the complexity of collecting agencies attracted her attention. She has, since 2010, been managing a range of diverse projects and teams aligning new ideas with old objects. In 2024 Kate moved back to Sydney and has been working as a Science Communicator, freelance writer and producer of an award winning podcast. In her spare time Kate is a solo parent, plays music and swims in the ocean.
